After a few days of sunshine today was cloudy and cooler with a few spots of rain. Fished nymphs up to lunch time with no joy at all. Tried dries in the afternoon. Only saw one rise which I cast to and got a response but no fish. There were hatches, including some may fly, but no response from the fish.
As already mentioned the designated parking area now has tables and benches on it. I parked on the grass verge opposite the pub car park.

Worst experience of fishing I have ever had in 55 years of fishing. Completely spoilt day (and the river) due to huge numbers of people also "enjoying" the river. One paddled down through where i was fishing in a blow-up raft. Culminating in an abusive couple who jumped into the pool and waded across where I was actually fishing. They made it very clear in no uncertain terms that it was my fault for being there. I gave up. I thought that canoeists were bad enough but this capped everything. It's not the owners fault so I see no reason to ask them for money back. Be warned - Do not book this beat on a Bank Holiday. WUF take note - The Bell have filled the suggested car park with benches.

Originally two of us were to fish but one dropped out due to illness. I went alone and found the river high and slightly coloured. No fish rising or visible and none caught, but a very pleasant day in this pretty village with a great pub!

River very full and murky. Far from ideal fishing conditions and no fish caught but a fun day nevertheless. A great lunch at the Bell.

River running high and coloured, hatch in the afternoon but didn't see a single rise. No luck on nymphs. Heavy rain in the afternoon so headed to the Bell.

Very very cold, but beautiful day. River was clear and pushing through. Fished from 7.30 for four hours using a variety of nymphs. Hard to find fish today but managed 4 grayling, nothing of size and a oos trout of about 14". Fairly pleased given the weather.

WUF please amend the parking directions as the space in front of the Bell is now a picnic area. I parked in the pub car park. Cheers.

WUF Note: Thanks for letting us know, we will look into this and update maps accordingly.

Lovely beat but unfortunately the storm had washed too much colour into the river to have a good day - abandoned after a couple of hours with a blank.

Managed to pick another day in Wales with temperatures hovering around zero and snow falling. Didn't raise any fish, but not totally surprised. Found a dead eel in the river and saw a knackered looking salmon swim past me. Nice beat though, and found welcome refuge in the Bell as usual.

good access, a few flies coming off and caught a Grayling on a dry, grey/ ginger klinckhammer.
parking has indeed changed, either the pub Carpark or by the castle (short walk)

1 Grayling
