The river was quite coloured and the weather was very wet and blustery, typical Bank Holiday weather! Caught 5 brown trout after lunch, all on a size 16 Iron Blue Dunn dry fly. All were returned. Had lunch at The Bell, very nice. I will definitely be back when the river is in better fettle.
Thank you for a nice day.

Didn't see any fish rising not much fly life. After about 2 hours fishing I heard an horrendous noise coming downstream. Turned out to be 2 large open metal canoes each carrying 3 people with their hulls scraping the rocks on the river bed, had to quickly move to the bankside. I had been looking forward to fishing this beat & didn't expect to be disturbed in this way. With my trip cut short by this experience I felt disappointed.

Lovely river - browny and 2 chub on klink in the morning and then difficult fishing. Not alot rising untill the evening. The rise was superb, fish feeding all up the river. Hatches of "you name it they were there" even a few mayfly. Stopped counting after about 15-20,the same for A fishing with me. Biggest fish about a pound and half all fish on dries. Brilliant day!!!!!

Fished from approximately 10:30am until 8:30pm with a break of a couple of hours. Caught only one brown trout no bigger than 10inches in length and lost another fish, species unknown. With no fish rising to the many insects abounding on the water I used a weighted nymph in the fast water. No evening rise to be seen, the river isn't ready to fish well yet.
