Hard day, River crystal clear! Lack of bites for the Wye. Surprise pike of 14lb though. Can't lie, it was foul hooked.

A hard but enjoyable day on the wye, barbel took some finding but scored in the end, feeder tactics winning again

An interesting day! Fish were not in the usual areas so we had to go hunting. Managed to find two nice barbel. Had to make a swift escape as the heavens opened up in order to get out of the bottom field only to be confronted by the whole herd of cows blocking our exit on the road out of the field and some angry looking bulls. When they eventually moved on,after about an hour, the path out was very slippy and we only just managed to get the cars out. Future anglers should be aware of this if it is wet.

A lot of weed debris made fishing the lead and feeder tricky. A switch to the float produced one barbel and one lost fish, while a move to the slower water upstream made the weed less of a problem

Difficult conditions with low water in the usual swims and the floating weed menace. Just the odd bite to keep us on our toes and and very pleasant and peaceful day on the lovely river Wye. Pellets and feeder brought us some success.

A very tough day on this beat. Water was, as expected, very low and with the sun out overhead and lots of weed coming through it was not possible to fish the usual areas. We did manage to find some fish but conditions meant we could only catch a couple of chub.

Started on the float for only a couple of small chub, had a walk and threw in a few pellets here and there and immediately barbel came onto them, fed a few swims and left them, returned and as usual as soon as a line went in they disappeared, you could see them come back but just couldn't find a way of catching them.
