Tough going river low and clear but managed a couple

2 Barbel, 4 Chub

Fished from 6pm. Best Barbel 7lb 10oz, Chub from Chublettes to 4lb.

Never been here before , great parking , and the scenery is delightful as ever , these are the beats I love to fish , rocky banks that taper off , and plenty of room to cast and set up , bank sticks might be a problem here , bring a pod or something,
Fishing was steady most of the day , but once evening set in it went up a notch , bites got more frequent and fish got bigger .
Fantastic day , lots of wildlife , didn't want to leave .

8 Barbel, 2 Chub

Arrived early, 1st time at this venue, could do with some signs in the farm to show directions to river.
The river was running quite low and clear, it was cloudy when i arrived, but cleared up with long spells of hot sunshine.
Had a 3lb 20z Chub 1st cast on pellet feeder, and another 2 in quick succession .
When the weather brightened up all fish indications stopped and had to wait til later for more action, had a small Barbel on the same method and a Chub of 5lb 5oz.
The really annoying thing was the water pump, really noisy which ruined things really.

Not as good as the previous day but a decent enough day. Couple of barbel early from the concrete walkway then moved downstream to the bottom end. Got a few chub. Back up to fish the walkway and got 3 more barbel before dark. Couple of 8lb fish and others around 5lb. Plenty of people fishing far bank also.

Only arrived at 6.30pm. Had 4 Barbel on pellet feeder. Also caught a small roach on a 14mm pellet!!

Great beat and a good evenings fishing.

A little tricky to navigate through the farm with minimal instruction.

River low , lots of canoeists landing near where I was fishing but they were polite. Fish hard to find and lost several in the streamer weed. First time on the beat and fished morning to late afternoon.

A couple of salmon seen but none caught. Large number of shad in some pools
