An eel about a lbs. Largely unfishable apart from concrete pegs near to parking area. Very shallow downstream of these pegs. Needs pegs cutting into the banks upstream to widen scope of fishing options. No pools capable of holding fish at low river height. Stayed for a couple of hours but gave up. Not worth the money.

No luck with the salmon fly, however I did see a small grilse splashing several times in the pool at the top of the fly run. Two chub: one small the other about 5lb. Excellent fly water at the bottom of the beat. Recommended.

Four anglers, swims steep with limited space so recommend taking a rope. Fishing was hard and previously have been able to drive to the top end, no longer allowed. One of us ventured to walk it and was rewarded with a single 3lb Chub, one of the few that day. A good location though as you can park neext to the river with a couple of adjacent comfortable swims. Fun watching the Kingfishers catching more than us.
