Nothing seen or caught, but still nice to be out on the river

Nothing seen or touched, dead lamprey in the shallows funny looking thing, river getting low now up this end

Fished the rock pool looks to have filled in a bit , shame really as this was a great pool, river low now. Lamprey spawning at the bridge great sight. one shad caught but no salmon

no good today nice to be out

first time out this season nothing caught but the sight of a fish rising was good enough. May I say well done for all the hard work done on this beat

18’ on the river since we last fished, and a bit of colour after recent rain. J G Emerger took all the rising fish. Beaded PTN variant, Copper John and pink tagged hares ear worked on Euro-nymphing set up. Good mix of trout and grayling 7-13’ from each method.

I found the river high and fast from the recent rains and a bit murky and the fish could no longer be found in their usual locations. I found them in pockets using some perdigons and stimulating nymph colors.

1 nice grayling, approx. three quarters of a pound 3 little trout, approx 6 to 9 inches. All on nymphs, "across and down."
No fly hatching, except two lovely big mayflies, no rising fish. Pleasant day enjoyed. thank you.

Only had time for a couple of hours very early due to family commitments. Spun the deeper water with a Mepps for a change. No salmon seen.
