Fished only a couple of pools, river still carrying a bit of extra water. There didn't seem to be a lot of bird life either which is not like the beat. Sometimes you meet people enjoying teaching their sport and being very courteous at the same time, 4 canoeists came through me but kept well out of my way, even had a wave. Back to the fishing, didn't see a trout rise nor any salmon, didn't catch any either. One thing to note somebody has left a pair of wading boots in the hut, must of been recent as they were still wet through

A very sleepy river for most of the day. An unproductive morning below the bridge apart from two good size grayling from Dolmeudwy. Surprisingly, fish came onto the take very late in the afternoon with many offers to a tungsten bead GRHE in the Ferry. Couldn’t keep many of them on for very long though.
A nice day on the river with the stiff downstream breeze providing good casting practice conditions with the double hander.

3 of us fishing, the oops trout was a beauty, about 2.5lb . Released straight from landing net and swam away stongly. Grayling all about 12oz. Saw an otter which was the highlight of the day.

Grayling were 11” and oos trout was 13”. Other subtle takes were missed or on then off, the feeding window was around 1pm. An Otter working the pool above me plus a few large dark olives coming off put a smile on my face.

Water was too high and flowing too quickly to have confidence that the nymphs were presenting well.

Strange day. We caught no fish in the morning except for a large, out of season trout weighing in at about 5lb, caught on a small tungsten beaded nymph fished deep in the head of a pool. After lunch the fishing seemed to really turn on and we took a number of grayling, all to nymphs. The "hot spot" was between 2:30pm and 3:30pm when all the grayling were caught.
