Good day today despite the gusting wind. Majority of fish caught on nymphs during the morning, including a chublet by DC.
Hard work in the afternoon until and after trying various drys, a parachute Adams took a Brown trout. After that a 10” Grayling was also tempted and brought to hand.
DC witnessed what he believed to be a 12-14lb Salmon leaping out of the water on a couple of occasions.

nothing seen or caught need some fresh water

Fished hard in most pools on beat . Lost a fish when it took on the dangle , not hooked but felt it, also had a pluck in the leaning willow pool

Fished hard well hard for me left tired and sore, lots of water covered with nothing to show for it

fly fishing using a 5 weight rod caught two small trout on nymphs, it was difficult wading had to fish of the planks
which can be very slippery if you have not got felt studs on your boots

Dace on dry fly. Grayling circa 1 lb on dry

Scorchio!!! today nevertheless managed to find a few small brownies in the fast water, and some grayling in the deep.

Gave Gromain a thorough fishing, 12 hours in total. Had a Grilse of 4-5lb in the tail of the Spring pool at around 3pm, another heavier and coloured fish was seen rolling slightly further up the pool. Due to butter fingers the Wye claimed my phone, but other than that a nice, full, day on the water was had with the river in great condition, all pools fishing nicely.
