Pleasant enough day but a downstream breeze made casting challenging throughout the day. Sporadic hatches and rises, brief in nature. Caught one small fish early in the day followed soon after by a better fish of around a 1lb. Both on a Jingler. Had a break in the afternoon and returned for the evening rise, which didn’t materialise, although I did rise and miss a couple of fish.

Fished from 11 until 4. Overcast. Very little fly activity so only sporadic rises. Caught 3 trout on PTN in the faster water, two approx 12 " in good condition. All returned.

Two trouts on klinkhamer, river getting low on summer levels , lovely stretch

Bit of a slow start to the day, a few caught on nymphs, epic dry fly action into darkness, mainly on olives

cold downstream wind blowing most of day which made casting difficult. 4 fish caught on mixture of dries and nymphs
