Catch method was worm.

Floating line, small dark flies. Disappointing size - rainbows less than 1lb each.

Drove up previous evening in the camper van and spent a clear starry night in a quiet location. Woke to white frost and ice on the windows. Fished from 7.00 until 8.30 and caught two 1.5lb rainbows on Montana. After breakfast continued fishing in bright sun and and very light breeze with no further luck either on fly or spin. Otheres were catching on worm and fishing deep. A brlliant days weather but little action after the initial success.

14 Perch. We only had time to fish for 6 hours. The perch were everywhere and it was difficult to get through them to catch trout but in the end found the right combination.
It was a lot of fun.

A lovely day for fishing, a little breezy at times, however the fish would not play! Not a sign of a fish all day.

After fishing most of the accessible spots to the bank opposite the ticket machine down as far as the bird hut and the dam area, I managed to bag one fish of around two pounds taken on a diawl bach fished slowly on an intermediate line taken at the dam area. Weather was very cold and windy at times, no fish showing all day.

Fished the NE shore in the morning in a light breeze. Two small rainbows of 1lb or less on Cats Whisker - both returned. Wind increased at lunch time continued fishing with spinner. Three rainbows from 1.5lb to 2.5 lb caught and kept. Moved across to SE shore p.m. with no further luck. Morning spent in splendid isolation in tranquil venue.

Worm on bottom, worm on float and various spinners. Started fishing at 0800hrs. Reservoir was iced in parts until about 1100hrs. Left reservoir at 1700hrs, 2 rainbow trout, both at 1 pound.
