Hello. caught 3 brownies between 11am. & 2pm weather was reasonable until the wind got really rough & became impossible to cast, i was wading & the water became so choppy i had to admit defeat. Fish caught on Bibio & Black Penell. always a great pleasure to be here.

Cold wind and air temp of 7 deg C. Some fish showing away from the shore but the onshore wind made reaching them difficult. Despite a lot of effort we blanked so we moved to the Usk at Ashford House.

Evening visit to Tal-y-bont after work. Arrived at 6.00pm. It was cold, breezy but dry and fairly bright. Wasn't expecting much, but had 2 fish by 6.10pm – a good start. Action continued at a fast and furious rate, despite a brief interruption by some lads with a paddle board. Ended up with 15 fish by 7.30pm, with many more missed and lost. Most of them were around 3/4lb, but a good few were over a pound. One of the best evenings Ive had on the venue, for whatever reason they were 'on' – and not a rise to be seen.

Two very nice trout taken on green nymphs. Fish returned to the water unharmed. Upon arrival around 12.00pm the conditions looked dire, the lake was like a mirror and the sun very bright, however a ripple developed and the sky became overcast which prompted some activity. lovely day..
