Fabulous day to finish the season, though the weather was resemblant of a typical summers day! Fish were certainly there, some doing aerial acrobatics but none came to the fly. All frustration was muted by the sheer pleasure of fishing there, can't wait for next season.

Much sunnier than the day before, spent more time taking pictures than fishing. Saw lots of fish, a pair of kingfishers, a mink and 3 cormorants. None caught.

Nice day out in on a pleasant beat. River slightly up but clearing after recent rain, to me it looked perfect.
Lots of salmon showing mostly coloured fish in the upper end of the stretch.

Tried various approaches all to no avail so ended the day on a blank.

Arrived at 5pm to the sound of large fish splashes. Most activity seen around Cadora pool until later in the evening where the cockpit showed promise. Despite all efforts with fly and spinner no fish were taken. First time to this beat and would return though the advice about wading Cadora pool was somewhat inaccurate, far too deep to wade and ultimately reach the fish. Thank you WUF again though for a great service!
