Fished for Salmon. Had to spin, river still high and coloured. Not a thing moved, stirred , touched or seen! Apparantly well up river the results were good, all the fish bolting through whilst they could. Several canoes, bank hols weekend. Mayfly showing well. To deep to wade.

Spent the first full day of my salmon fishing life at this lovely beat. It is a really nice stretch of water and thoroughly enjoyed my day despite only catching a species that I wasn't targeting.

Thanks to the Ghillie, Nathan who was really helpful and spent a lot of time helping me with information on the river and tactics.

I look forward to coming back soon.

We had a fantastic day on the river, despite no fish touched. With blazing sunshine and no fresh water for weeks we had managed expectations heading into the day, but what a glorious spot to spend the day casting and enjoying the weather!
We fished scandi shooting heads + intermediate tips with dressed flies (Alley Shrimp, Cascade and Silver Stoat) on the top pools and had a few casts of the spinner on the bottom section but no takers. Thanks to the crystal clear water several fish were spotted holding tight on the bottom.
We were superbly looked after by the gillie Nathan, and will absolutely be coming back.

A long day on the beat today , in the water at 7.00am and last cast at 7.30pm. Threw the kitchen sink at the fishing, but a nil return not unexpected with the conditions.
Saw a big shoal of Shad moving up through Little Run in the evening, clearly visible in the clear water and evening light.
