Couldn't fish it because 1) Banks too steep and dangerous in places, 2) no attempt by Wye & Usk or land owner to cut out any swims, 3) Due to the very hot weather Streamer weed on the nearside bank made fishing impossible even if you could find some where to fish. I recommend that this stretch be ignored until some effort is made to make it worthwhile

River was very low and clear . Chub tempted at each end of the beat .
Very steep banks that would be impossible to get down if they was wet but efforts have been made to make them as accessible as possible .

River was low - fish caught on luncheon meat

2 Barbel, 4 Chub

River low. fish took some time to find but bites where plentiful when located lost a number of good fish in the streamer weed. Only fished morning till late afternoon

Really wonderful day and caught 5 big chub, but barbel were elusive.

River was really high and brown. Could only fish one swim safely a near side slack half way along the beat. One bite which I missed ( typical ) no others all day fished for 7 hours.

Had tried to fish this beat last summer but due to low river conditions and streamer weed unable On our return found a very different river snow melt had the river up but did catch 3 chub to around 4lb.
