3x barbel caught (5,6 and 7lb). Really nice spot. River coloured and had lots of pace following recent storm. Though fishable along the bank. All fish caught on Luncheon meat.

Fished the bottom pool LH bank in tough conditions river low and clear and howling gale with rain. Just two bites and two fish all day both very good chub over 4lb. Pellet and hemp in open end feeder with various hookbaits. Hard going, maybe the recent rise might help.

Not the best of days to fish the river. With the storm arriving to coincide with a 2 day trip to the wye. This beat has been good to us with 26 barbel and maybe 50 chub over 3 previous sessions in the summer. Total blank for both of us. Fished until 12. Until steady heavy rain pushed us off the river and into the pub. How caple court tomorrow with a rising river and 50 mph winds. You wait for weeks to fish this great river....but you cant control the elements.

Beautiful stretch but a much slower day than yesterday on the Creel. Water is fast and shallow and it was nice to catch on the float. Fished both sides but found the left hand side to have better access and more swims.

Slow day trying to figure out how to approach this beat. Had a barbel first thing and struggled most of the day but wonderful weather and scenery helped. Got the stick out midday and managed 2 chub. Switch back to feeder when the bites dried. Last knockings got the stick back out and managed another 2 chub and a barbel. Had a fantastic weekend staying at the annex . Fished foy and how Capel. Right on your doorstep. Couldn't get a better location for these beats. Will be returned next year for sure.

Not a huge amount of swims to choose from between the 2 of us. River looked good, nice colour, maybe flowing a tad fast. Not many bites, but no blank. I think the sudden change in over night temperature effected the fishing. Other was eel.
