A mild day and overcast day with odd sunny intervals, 0.27 on RoW gauge and a 12.9 degrees water temp. Very clear but with a good flow throughout the beat. Fished very hard though, with 3 bites between the 4 of us. 3 barbel hooked but only one banked at 8.06 - one snagged, one line break. GB and particle feeders tried as well as straight lead, PVA bags and loose pellets. Wind too gusty to fish the float without wading to mid river.

1 Barbel right at the end, just short of 10lbs and one minnow! Found it very difficult, probably only 3 pegs actually fishable with the river being so low. Spent most of the day looking at the scenery

A tough day - bright sun and a low river ( which reduced the amount of fishable pegs ) but splendid views.

Good day at Wyastone with some nice Barbel and a few chub. Mixture of float and feeder doing the business. Top of the beat could do with some swim clearance. Used to be at least three swims from the top boundary by the wall down to the far end of the pool but now only one accessible which is a shame.

A very enjoyable morning fishing. The fish seemed to come once the sun was up and the river had warmed the rather cold early morning. All fish taken on feeder tactics. Lost 1 fish which I think must have been a carp!! Totally different take and proceeded to take my line 30metres upstream. Managed to play it for 10mins before snapping me off which was a bit frustrating.

Water levels and colour were very good, only fished the woods area, the others were all eels, they were a problem all day, any meat baits they were on it. I would say to fish most swims you need a 3m landing net pole, very difficult to land and release fish from most swims.
