Plodded up and down the woods all day but couldn't muster anything - other than eels on meat.
Decided to sit on some bait for the evening and managed one bite. Not a monster, but a beautiful fish.
As said by others, looks like a few trees have gone in restricting swim/casting choices a bit.
A fine day out.

Enjoyable day at Wyastone even though the fishing was hard going during the day. Even float fishing was very difficult when usually it’s a good bet at this time of year.
Bites came at last light on feeder/pva/boliee/pellet combos. A cracking 10lb 1oz Barbel made a tough day very worthwhile.
A big tree has gone in at the top of the wood by the wall meaning only one swim is available in the rock pool unfortunately and a few other trees having gone in make a few swims a bit dodgy to get a bait in but obviously still plenty of others to have a go at if you’re mobile.
The others were 3 Dace and 2 Eels.

Great beat, turning is tight and you need to be careful on entering and leaving due to the fast road. Lots of swims to choose from and we fished the wooded areas.

Swims are well kept and maintained, I don't like fishing where there are steps and pontoons to fish from and prefer the more natural looking beats. First time at this beat since 2017 and I will be back, not sure why I left it so long. It was the end of 3 days superb fishing on the Wye.

Other fish was an eel of just under a pound.
