Level just under 18” on the site, however the river was running reasonably clear. Nothing hatching off so consequently nothing rising. All fish taken on various different nymphs along the beat. Both trout at 8” and the grayling 6”.
Wind picked up at 2 o’clock ish so I packed up and went home happy and content.

DC & GC made a late decision to fish today, the river was running fast and up a few inches from summer level with a greenish tinge, a nice mild overcast day with little wind saw us both opting for duo nymph method. It wasn't easy but rewarding when we finally contacted a few fish.
One thing to think about is the footbridge is getting a bit tired with the wooden slats showing signs of age.
Thanks to W&U and the fishery owner.

very slow today, started at 11.30 and only brought 6 to the net by 2.30 pm . These six all taking 2.5mm pink bead on point . then for 30 minutes it was a fish every other cast from one glide. all taking 3mm gold bead nymph with a red hotspot. all grayling between 7-16 inches with the majority around 10-12 inches , the trout between 6-17 inches. after this half hour period the river just died. weather was very gloomy with no sunshine and a persistent drizzle all day. river just over a foot on the Lugg camera which is still too low for my liking but hey ho thats fishing

DC & GC found it tough today, the water was running fast with a tinge of colour. All fish taken on nymphs, with nothing larger than 8".
Many thanks to the fishery owner and W&U.

A lovely autumn day with the water very clear and no wind. Fish spooky and selective with the old , more natural coloured, Killer Bug catching most and one on the Red Tag. The best was a beautiful deep fish of 1 3/4 lbs.
