Hot day with river in good nick. Chub throughout the day, sadly no barbel

Chub very active. Used feeder, trotting and rolling meat. River low and clear.

River levels very low, and could do with a flush through. Fingers crossed that we get a good few much needed downpours pretty soon. Chub very active, but I didn’t get a sniff of a barbel. Maybe next time!

Great day, 2 of us fishing and had a barbel each and some chub and dace

River very low. Enjoyable day wading and running a float through various parts of the top beat. Lost a good fish possibly a barbel in a snag. Best chub around 3 pounds.

Short evening session, muggy and overcast. 2 chub about 2 pounds and a clonking 8 pound barbel from the lower end of the beat.

Slightly cooler day, river as low as I have seen it, fished the faster water at the top end of the beat and the middle section later in the day. Started on feed tack ticks and moved on to trotting using meat and sweetcorn caught 40 plus chub around 20 each most in the 1/2 lb to 2 lb size with 3 slightly bigger ones up to 3 lb The only barbel seen appeared to be spawning.
Given the conditions happy with our returns. A very pleasant day thank you.
