Lovely days fishing on a fantastic piece of river. Only thing that spoilt the day was the amount of angling litter left on the banks it was terrible, I filled 3 carrier bags with meat tins, hemp tins and empty pellet/ground bait bags. The people who have left the place in such a state should be ashamed to call themselves anglers.

Only managed one hour of fishing with the kids. Very little flow and no signs of any fish.

River very low but gave us a chance to see the rocks in the river where we loose our tackle. Set up and watched the otters swimming bye then when we moved swims. Had to clear up rubbish left by morons tin cans paper rappers all harmful to the cows in the field and the large friendly bull. We could not understand how some people could pay £22 plus booking fee and leave litter.
Back to the fishing, bait was pellets, sweetcorn and meat with swimfeeders, ledgering, freelining. The barbel were 8lb 10oz and 6lb 4oz and the Chub were from 3.5lbs to 4.9lbs. In the evening about 8.30ish 3 Otters swam into the swim one of us was fishing so we called it a day. We had a good day despite the storms, it's a lovely part of Herefordshire. Thank you Wye & Usk Foundation, we will be back.

An early session (6am-11am), river a bit higher than my last visit a couple of weeks a ago. Caught a barbel first cast, almost on the drop, then several more at regular intervals throughout the morning.

Fished above the orchard to avoid cows in the lower beat, was disappointed with number of swims available, approximately 4 plus the cattle drink swim. Could not believe the amount of rubbish left everywhere. Cleaned up a fair amount, including cutlery for pot noodles as I walked the bank. Some staked swims are completely inaccessible and for £22 per day we should be at least have more options. Could definitely do with a "working party" to make the fishery a better place. Enough of the whinging, back to the fishing. Between us we had 1 barbel 7lb and 8 chub, all on lamprey pellet either feeder fished or straight legered with pva bags. Fished better in the evening from around 5 o'clock onwards. Lovely surroundings to enjoy a day on the Wye and will hopefully be back to do it all again.

WUF note - This beat is booked to have access improvement work and swims opened up this week.

Fished hard, 1 chub. River in good condition, the barbel must be on holiday. I'll be back.

Really only one spot to fly fish from on this beat. Not very good value. If I was fishing this beat again I would coarse fish it instead.

One of the toughest days fishing that I've personally had on the Wye. The river was low, clear and huge quantities of weed were coming down making fishing out further than the margins almost impossible. I put my fishing partner in the banker swim and he managed 3 barbel to 8lb 10oz which was a personal best and first barbel in 20 years for him. I on the other hand fished just about every swim on the lower beat looking for the barbel and all I could catch was chub. We sat from dawn until 5pm before our first bites as well. Hopefully we will have a little rain this week that will lift river levels slightly and put a bit of needed oxygen back in the water.
