River level was very low , had to work hard to find the fish , all caught on feeder with pellets and freelined luncheon meat. All the barbel and chub were around the 3- 4 pound mark.

Easy parking, and easy access down to the first stretch of the beat. A felled tree blocked access along the bank to the second stretch, so required walking along the road and then down the public footpath and then a scramble down a steep bank to get to it. Fine if you are mobile. It would be good to get rid of the tree ... but some flood water will no doubt sort that out if and when it ever comes. A very pleasant day trotting a float down, and although the kayaks were plentiful they were all very polite (if not skilled). Might have been difficult if I was trying to use a feeder; between 1100 and 1400 there were probably a couple of hundred people went past, but it didn't seem to impact the fishing at all.

Chub up to about 5lb, most around the 3lb mark. Barbel all in the 2lb to 3lb range. "Other" were dace.
All fish in superb condition. Never caught grayling before; they all needed a good amount of reviving. The barbel in comparison shot off !

2 anglers block booked the beat. Fished well all morning and early afternoon. Good sized barbel and chub at the start (5lb chub and 7lb barbel), with a smaller stamp of barbel every cast in the afternoon. We left at 4pm, but no doubt the later hours would have seen even more fish landed.

Only comment is the advertised well maintained and accessible bank is no more - a lot of fallen trees and wading was required (or a scramble down a steep bank from the footpath to get to the pool) - not one for the less able bodied or over loaded angler.

Bit more water in the river than when I fished earlier in the season. Fished the feeder with boilies till early afternoon, responsible for 2 barbel and 3 chub. Switched to the float as the swim was turning into a tackle graveyard, largely due to the streamer weed snagging and dragging. The other ten fish fell to luncheon meat and pellet.
Nome of the barbel where over 3lb, probably averaged 2lb.but All fin perfect and great to see. Two of the chubb topped 4lb and with the exception of 2 they were all bigger than the barbel.
Although the path is close to the parking and all of that couldn't be easier, I would not recommend it to anyone even slightly infirm on there feet. Path is uneven, rocky or slippy mud bankside in places. No issue for most just one to be aware of.
