Lovely day, 10 barbel, 6 chub, 6.2 million dace and a lightning storm that epically put a halt to proceedings.

Was in the area so dropped past for a couple of hours. Given the recent weather not surprisingly was quite hard going but scraped out one barbel and a chub

Discovered this beat and was trying flyfishing for barbel for the 1st time. Lovely evening, able to wade through the whole length of the beat, but no beginner's luck!

A man came and had a bath right next to me and in all his glory. Very shallow but access was good.

A really tough day today.

A really tough day today, a barbel at 8lb 6oz made it worth the effort.

Difficult day at Wye Bank boats and swimmers all day made fishing impossible, still a nice day out on a lovely river.

Caught a 5 lb chub on a feeder.

Took a minute to work out the pools, so wasted the morning a little. Had one small barbel in the morning, boats and swimmers then made fishing pretty much impossible. All were polite and good natured and it's part of fishing this area. I then fished the stick all day and caught a tonne of dace, one a chuck. Evening came, back on the barbel and managed 8 more, mostly smaller stamp to about 6lb with one quite significantly bigger. Lovely spot.
