2 of us fished all day. Access ok in dry weather via gate by water works. 3 swims accessible, although would be steep and slippery in wet weather. Fished meat and pellet all day. River fining down, very bright sun and warm. 1 small barbel of about 2lbs.

Despite having remedied Wednesday's blank here with 2 barbel on Friday, having pulled out of 3 and lost my way mid sesh, I felt I needed another chance. The 2m rise over the weekend provided it and following extensive negotiations with my Mgt, she said I could have Tuesday as an extra fishing day. 2.5 degrees on the Bank but with a 11.5 degree water temp and loads of colour, I felt confident. 3 barbel before the sun came on the water, then barbel every hour or so, working my way up and down the line, till I packed at 5. Most on 10mm halibut but 3 to change baits, from 3lb to 8.12. A really great day for me.
Only 3 swims to pick from up by the waterworks and two of those are either weedy or snaggy. Maybe this big flush will help that. When soggy, only one parkimg spot by the waterworks, in the gateway, so if more than one car, meet in the riverside car park at Lydbrook, transfer the gear into one car and go up there with that.

Having blanked Wednesday, I ventured back due to the new level rise. Mild overcast day with a 15.9 water temp and a good colour. Pulled out of a fish early and then, apart from a lone Chub, had a long wait without a bite. Had to go at 1400 so stuck hard at it into the last hour when two quick bites saved the day with barbel of 4.12 and 8.06. Gb feeder and pellets.
