Beat was easily accessible with the lower water level although higher than recent weeks. Harder to wade starting from down river of the bridge and easier access to shallow water from the caravan park or opposite via steps and / or ladder.
Only one fish seen rising during the 4/5 hours we were there during the day. Nothing caught.
A nice spot with a helpful beat owner.

River was very low (reading 0.358 M on the Nat Resources Website). And the weather forecast hot and bright. We were on the water at 08:15 and shortly after saw a fair number of fish rising/jumping. One Brownie circa 14" taken on a size 20 GRHE with a red tag at 09:30 down the left side of Wood Stream. We stopped fishing at 11:50 as the air and water temp were continuing to rise. Lunch at the Chainbridge Inn was good and the service was super friendly.
Its clear that even though they are reluctant to be caught there are plenty of fish in this beat; I will definitely be back but when its cooler and there is more water in the river. My 2 guests loved it too.

Owner very helpful and lovely spot to fish. Water low and clear and found difficult not to spook fish. One fish lost.

Tough evening fishing. The wind made things tricky. The only sustained rise of fish was just before dark for about 10 minutes, probably to BWO spinners.

Hot sunny day. Not much surface activity until 1700. Blanked until 1715 hrs but was rewarded with a 14inch fish feeding in the shallows under the trees, about 3ft from the bank. Unfortunately I had to leave at 1800 so probably missed the best of the day.
