Lovely water no fish caught but a few seen not necessarily before they saw me. The water was low but a good flow with fish in the deep pools.

River lowish, running clear. Saw three trout rise in about 5 hours. Tried dry fly but difficult because of the wind blowing downstream,so switched to downstream wet fly. Possibly one attempted take. Instructions very clear and parking easy. No other person encountered all day.

0.632 @ Knighton on Gaugemap. Water was clear and cool - and there was a reasonable amount of it! Windy at times.
Trout were hard to find but managed 3 wonderfully marked WBT - best was 12", all caught on a dark nymph with an orange hot-spot. All returned unharmed. No interest in dries today. Maybe the wind put them off.
Used a 9' 4wt with a long tapered leader to a 5lb tippet (which was probably a tad to much - but 3 trout didn't care so hey-ho!)
Lovely wild location. I found the instructions for parking a little confusing - it makes sense when you get there though. WUF maybe re-word them? WUF service was as good as it always has been - which is spot on - thanks!

Booking Office Note: Thanks for the feedback, we'll have a look at the map and directions accordingly.

Great spot. Lots of 'fishy' runs. 2 trout caught on nymph just under 1lb each from deeper pools. Water was clearing though out the day.

Flooded and stormy, did not fish! Very much enjoyed watching the wildlife by the river and eating my lunch regardless.

Only managed to fish for about 3/4 hours over the middle of the day. Water levels were right at the limit of what is fishable, on a few occasions I could even spot trout following my nymphs! Lost quite a few flies in the trees and worked hard at some of the deeper pools. Crawling on my hands and knees ended up being necessary in order not to spook the fish.
All in all I took four trout at about half a pound, although they were absolutely stunning fish, some of the prettiest I've ever caught. I will definitely be back to this beat, hopefully after a dose of rain this week, there are some big fish in those pools apparently....

River is very low but managed 5 trout, 3 on dry dropper and 2 on heavy nymphs in the deep pools, nothing rising during the day and no hatch by the time I left at 8 pm
