Our first time fishing this beat and the river was still about 1m up and coloured following heavy rains. A beautiful stretch of river with a good number of accessible swims. We were feeder fishing and most bites came later in the day after regularly introducing bait. The game keeper paid a visit who was a really nice guy and very helpful. Other fish was a large eel.

Lovely stretch of the river although a lot of walking, note middle parking spot appeared to be not usable due to electric fencing and cattle in field. Very fast flowing but found some slack water.

A bit of a late start due to torrential rain making the banks slippery but fished from mid afternoon onwards, river fairly high and rising but managed to find a couple of slacks,Barbel fed well with swimfeeder and pellet or legered meat with the biggest one going 9 lbs 2 oz and a couple of 8 pounders, great to spend time on this cracking fishery

How dissapointed were we to find How Caple Court was unfishable. All the entrace's to the river stopped with at least 10 foot drop to the water, not what I would call a swim. we decided for safety reasons not to fish.

Two Anglers. Lovely stretch. Overcast with a brief shower of rain. Early Barbel at 10lbs on feeder pellet then nothing. Moved to swim lower down. One Chub on pellet around 3lbs. Another Chub around 2lbs on maggots later. Not easy but we were pleased to get some hard fighting fish.

The river looked really nice on this well maintained fishery, with sky grey and overcast throughout the day.
Despite this however we failed to get even a knock throughout the whole day, dispute trying a number of swims along the fishery and a combination of baits.
First blank this week.

Thankfully cool after last week but very sunny for most of the day. I'd hoped the bit of rain yesterday would cool the water temp enough to switch the fish on but no, 6 bites between us all day resulting in 3 Chub, a beautiful 9lb barbel and 2 barbel hook pulls. Tried hemp and gb feeders, and straight bomb with a load of hookbaits. Fished down the bottom and maybe should have moved to the top in the afternoon but the swims in the bottom field looked most likely in the conditions. Still a glorious day on a beautiful beat with great work done on it.
