Fished 1600-1800 on a sunny and breezy afternoon. First hundred yards of the beat are quite tight and the casting beyond my abilities, leaving me frequently tangled up in branches. I spooked fish in all of the first 6 pools I came to but then the foliage opened up and allowed me to get a decent cast in. 6 wbt up to about 8" taken in the final hour on a small, dark emerger.
Didn't get much beyond the sewage plant before I had to leave but it was a very pleasant beat, it helps to be able to cast better than me though!

Lovely evening for a quick stop on the way home - 3 wbt 6-8" on a black klink - first ones off the top for the season. Connected briefly with something that felt considerably bigger.

8 x trout 6-8 inches, Gold Bead Hare's Ear nymph. Some fairly heavy showers this morning and the water had coloured up before I reached the top end.

Strange evening session - I see O.B beat me to it so makes a little more sense now! Picked off a couple of 6/7" wbt on GRHE fished duo, no rises to the klink. Fish not rising as such in the pools, but jumping clean out of the water - no obvious hatch so have no idea what they were up to?! Must have seen half a dozen doing it. As all was quiet despite fish clearly being there, I tied on a black streamer tied on a #14 jig hook, swung it through a riffle and first cast had an energetic 9" wbt...then all quiet again

I had few hours to kill while on an errand in Gloucestershire so I decided to give this beat a go, I only managed to get about half way though before having to leave. FIshed the clink and dink, six of the fish coming to the GHRE and one on the dry, although I lost one and missed one on the dry too.
No sign of any hatches but a few fish rising none the less. Overall I really liked this beat, every corner had somewhere to cast to. Although for the first time I felt that my 8.5ft rod was too big. I can't help but think I might have caught more if I had managed to keep my flies out of the trees, but that's what I'd expect on a wild stream.

First time on this beat for me. Lovely weather, starting with a breeze that became quite chill at the end of the afternoon.
Managed 7 WBT to hand all in good nick and returned safely. I used my 5ft 2weight which served me well - only a couple of times did I wish it was a 6ft or a 4ft!. Saw two splashy rises but could not tempt anything with dry.
There didn't seem to be much emerging. So all caught on gold head nymphs. Deep run nymphing hit many underwater obstructions. Trees and bushes are still bare of leaves. Water was clear and flowing well but was not as high as I expected, therefore wading was very easy. There was a disappointing amount of waste debris on and in the water both natural and caused by humans. Searched for the fourth, but could only find three car wheels.
