Six beautifully spotted Arrow gems to hand on a very low river. Sizes went from 6inch to 12inch and all in excellent condition. There was bit of fly on the go of varying sorts during the day to keep them looking up and most fish fell to a dark klink .
There where a few good sized spinner clouds (brook duns I think) in the evening and when they fell that got the fishes interest but seemed they where very picky, or maybe it was just me making a hash! Whatever, it was just fab seeing good numbers of fish on the go. Titley is a thoroughly beautiful stretch of river and seems to get a fair number of blanks in the feedbacks. My advice, for what its worth, is to move and wade very very slow and watch and wait. Same as everywhere really! It's a great place to dawdle anyway.
Pay particular attention to the long lovely run below the footbridge. I saw quite a few fish moving there including a couple of very good'uns. Alas, they eluded me! Had a good one in the shallows on the tail there too and missed another so maybe don't skip through there.
Thanks WUF, happy days....

Access is very challenging and the levels appeared low. Spent the first hour surveying the beat from top to bottom and another two hours finding accessible spots to fish. Frustratingly poor access and little signs of fish meant that I gave up after an hour of fishing and moved on.

River on its uppers with no fish showing along the entire beat over a 5 hour period, despite abundant spinners and larger. Deep pools refused to give up anything! Another blank. Still, an excellent morning, worth the return trip when the rain finally comes.

LAFA Tenkara day. Very informative and excellent guiding, but sadly no sign of fish on Titley beat. River down to its bones. I know this beat and it was the lowest I have seen it - should have headed further downstream.

Fished for about four and a half hours. River very low and only a couple of rises seen all day. 3 trout, biggest 12 inches, on tungsten bead PT nymphs.

A couple of hours in the rain! No fish rising and nothing caught. But peaceful and lovely.

Very disappointing; despite the cold wind there was quite a lot of fly life: two types of Mayfly, the standard pale-bodied one and a darker version with long tails, lots of small flies and a few sedges. However, I only saw five fish rise in over five hours from 3.30 until after 8.30. I had one follow a ptn, one pluck at a grhe and one attempt o a spider which I missed completely. A blank sadly! I did see a hare, dippers a kingfisher and a Chaffinch took a Mayfly in mid-air in front of me. So not too bad an afternoon and evening.

Fished over lunchtime. River was very low, and all the pools in which I have caught fish here in past years were showing their bottom. Lots of fly life, and a few mayfly, but no rises.

Well......a rare absolutely rubbish day! Have fished this beat many times and only once before have I known it as dead as this and that was on a cold day in April! It was warm there was a constant trickle of mayfly, plenty of sedge and some olives but no fish. I tried every method known to mankind and finally winkled out a small brown trout late in the afternoon on a sparkle hares ear nymph. Frankly the river looked 'dead' all day, it was quite low and it was bright and sunny but in saying that there are plenty of shady, deeper sections of water for fish to hold in but I didn't see a single fish rise all day. It was a bit worrying!

What a lovely river! Had a wonderful afternoon. Sunny spells and a bit windy. Lots of insect life including mayfly. But surprisingly very little in the way of fish rising. Had one trout come up to inspect my fly but no takes. But who cares?
