Very low. The beach was being used as a recreation centre, but managed to find a couple of swims at the end of the beat. Lots of barbel flashing gave the best swims away!

River was very low (reading 0.358 M on the Nat Resources Website). And the weather forecast hot and bright. We were on the water at 08:15 and shortly after saw a fair number of fish rising/jumping. One Brownie circa 14" taken on a size 20 GRHE with a red tag at 09:30 down the left side of Wood Stream. We stopped fishing at 11:50 as the air and water temp were continuing to rise. Lunch at the Chainbridge Inn was good and the service was super friendly.

Its clear that even though they are reluctant to be caught there are plenty of fish in this beat; I will definitely be back but when its cooler and there is more water in the river. My 2 guests loved it too.

Hot and bright all day, fishing tough. Tried most fishable pegs during the day. Fish caught towards the end of the day on meat from the end of the faster water at the bottom end of the beat. Other was an eel.

A beautiful bit of the Tywi with decent parking right on the river. I saw several salmon leaping in the faster water halfway down the beat but unfortunately none were tempted. Fishing the evening and night, I had a few pulls on the surface fly but no takers.

Spent the morning on the bottom with a feeder and pellet. Was completely unfishable due to the green algae that was wrapping around my tackle. After lunch time i decided to roll meat which caught me around 12 chub.
