Had three nice chub from the lower end of the beat on luncheon meat. Be aware that the middle car park is out of use due to ongoing roadworks.

Good to see a bit more water in the river, although not so good to have heavy downpours and strong winds. Because of this I fished the lucky stone area with the float for a few hours in the morning and then moved down to the end of the first field when I needed to get the brolly up and take cover. 5 chub on the float and 5 ledgering. No barbel today, but suspect I would have been more fortunate if the weather had played ball and I’d been able to ledger at lucky stone.

River still low. Fished by the steps. All chub over 4lb, in perfect condition. All caught on boillie.
Barbel about 6lb, beautiful fish.
Bit slow in the afternoon but a gorgeous place to fish.
