Strange old day on the river. There were a lot more canoes and paddle boards around than I expected. And when I arrived at my favourite swim, the first thing I had to do was go back to the car for a bin liner. See photos of what others forgot to take home with them. Fishing was ok but not a sniff from any barbel. A good few chub, none of them big, and took a photo of what turned out to be the best one. Also, had a kingfisher fishing from an overhanging tree to the right of my swim. Was amazing to sit there watching him!

Great day of jungle fishing! The beat is VERY overgrown and access to the river bed can be difficult.
I saw 2 fish rising, missed one and got a 12in brownie on the dry.

Two lovely, hard-fighting browns caught, the largest about 1lb. Both caught on the side of the reservoir where the Blaen Taf Fawr flows in, in shallower water in and around reeds. One on a black spider and another on a Kate Mclaren. Relatively strong wind made fishing tougher than it could have been at times (and cold when wading) so shorter session than planned. Beautiful location and will be back.

To windy to float fish and to rocky to fish on bottom with wights as kept getting stuck on rocks and snapped but got told to drive to other side go down a little road over a gate and found a little sheltered erea witch was perfect for float fishing had a few big trout but as I was using barblthooks they come off and my partner had for perch witch she landed as she was fishing on the bottom with a small wight all in all a good day now we no about that little spot.
