1 small trout parr on nymph. Missed two on the dry, hardly anything rising even in the evening. Green algae everywhere the river is really in a terrible state. £40 for a day ticket is pushing it. Better water out there for a lot less.

3 trout to 14 inches. Almost no rise, and no action on nymphs, but spiders (and late-evening sedge) worked to an extent. Good flow of water (dam release?), and very slippery rocks!

No luck for myself as a novice, but a local club member was showing me photos of 3 he had caught today and they were good size fish as well as a sewin caught last week.

Definitely worth a visit.

I caught 3 perch all in excellent condition and returned safely
The 2 trout again in excellent condition and tasted delicious
