The day started cloudy and got clearer and brighter tgroughout. Water was a higher than I have experienced before but still accesible. Plenty of fly life during the day and sporadice rather than regular rises. One on a nymph in the morning at the top of the beat and another in the afternoon. Hooked a decent fishing near the access point on caravan park, but lost it soon into the battle. A lovely stretch and very helpful owner.

Difficult day again on the Usk for me. Could not tempt a thing on the nymph, even after trying lots of patterns and sizes. Then in the afternoon a few fish started rising, managed to land two but lost three.
Lovely beat though.
