A beautiful beat. A very hot day with not a lot of fly life other than the odd olive dun and a few mayflies so only a few splashy rises here and there. Four fighting fit 7-9 inch trout brought to hand and released and a similar number shook themselves free so a fun afternoon with a 6ft 3 weight brook road. Thank you

Fished overcast warm day for 2 hrs 3pm to 5pm. Beautiful spot. River quite low but some deeper pools. Challenging casting as lots of overhanging trees. Used 6"3 with#3 line. Quite a lott of fly life but only a few trout moving. Only tried dries but no luck maybe because I'm a newbie.Very much enjoyed Directions and service excellent.

Beautiful beat. Fished from 1.30 to 7pm. Plenty of insect life. The river is quite low after a prolonged dry period. Caught 4 trout from 6" to 10" on duo method, all on the nympth. Any attacks on the dry were all missed by yours truly! Hopefully next time...First time I have used the passport, an excellent service.

Fished 1630-1800. Cool and overcast with a stiff breeze, but very sheltered in the valley. There was a reasonable amount of fly life and a few rises below most of the riffles. There were absolutely loads of cased caddis clinging to the pebbles.
I started with a tiny elk hair caddis that got a few rises but only one stuck so switched to a grey and black emerger. 4 wbt between 9-13" resulted. All fought very well and were fat as butter, all returned.
An exceedingly lovely little beat that manages ample cover without making casting impossible.

A beautiful little river but the weather had turned quite wintery and there was very little evidence of fish activity.
A couple of rises but very short lived. After several days of dry weather the water level was low and I found the fishing difficult and without success.

Low river and quite overgrown in places. Incredible smell of wild garlic and a lovely viewing of a Barn Owl returning to feed chicks in their nest. Spotted one trout darting in the water but very skittish. Lovely setting.
