The river was very low and the banks incredibly overgrown, I struggled to fish this beat with a 7ft rod and casting was very difficult. I failed to spot any fish moving and I don't think I will be making a return. The bank access points along the river are dreadful. Hats off to those who can get fish out of this stretch, i have nothing but admiration for your skills.

Very challenging with over grown entry points but once in wading is not so bad but you have to exit every no and again which means fight your way out or back track , having said that its so close to home for me so a go to place , all the trout taken on a dry Adams 14

Lovely river and a great spot - water was crystal clear if a bit low in places could do with another a foot of water.
Tricky wading in a few deep pools with overhanging branches that makes casting tricky. A few March Browns around but not much rising fish.

One lovely grayling and a small trout on a small nymph. Bright sunny day, warm for the time of year. The river was crystal clear and apparently empty of fish, but I managed to winkle a couple out with persistence. Really nice beat. I've fished the Abby Dore Court beat a few times and that's lovely too, but this has more fishable water for its length. I'll fish it again. Me and the dog went home tired and happy.

2 beautiful grayling on size 14 hears ear. Very difficult fishing with lots of over hanging trees and little bank access but great little river. If going in these temperatures would highly recommend as many layers as possible as it’s very cold.
Overall great day out.

Cold but the river is just about right with no colour but not crystal clear the 2 grayling 10" both lively fish in good condition , both caught on a gold bead hares ear 14 at the end of a run of riffle just before it shallows again ,so a good start to the year, tight lines , its called fishing not catching
