Nothing doing. Air temp cool. Water cool, coloured but seemed normal level, (assessment of bankside vegetation and flood debris, as I don't know this brooks seasonal fluctuations).
A few duns on the wing.
A lovely stream with some cracking pools. Easily waded with care. Directions, access, parking all good and well described.

A pretty stretch up to The Bridge Inn. The water was quite low but fish were rising in the deeper pools.
Studs on boots essential on the slippery bed rock. I would recommend parking at the pub and timing your end of day to coincide with a pint and an excellent meal. As previously mentioned it’s quite a short beat now so suits a half day fishing

Very enjoyable day dipping in and out of the fishing. Camped at The Bridge, cracking pub. Very hot morning, fish were rising at 7.00 when I went out, stopped by 8.30. Became overcast midday'ish and they started to rise again. Had 3 over the next couple of hours. Couple of bites and a couple that shook the fly out. One was a surprisingly big fish for the stream, caught on a copper headed nymph.

The brook was very low and although fish were moving in the pools and a good hatch was on, they were very skittish and easily spooked. A couple of takes but no fish landed in the short time I fished. The closest I got was watching the lovely sized fish in the pool by the bridge inn with a pint!
