The Court of Noke offers ¾ mile of double bank Arrow fishing. Mostly a gravel and silt riverbed, the wading is relatively easy in this meandering section of the river. Some of the pools are quite deep however, so care is needed. In addition to trout, this stretch of the river also supports good populations of grayling and the occasional chub.

Trotting a maggot is permitted for these species outside the trout season i.e. 1st October to 2nd March.

Ideally fished with: 7 to 8ft, 3 to 4wt rod.

There was an outbreak of crayfish plague in the lower Irfon on the Wye catchment in July 2024 resulting in the deaths of the many of the native white-clawed crayfish. This beat contains a healthy population of native crayfish therefore, visiting anglers MUST ensure against cross contamination by approved check/dry/disinfection procedures, and importantly waders, nets and tackle should be sprayed with Virkon disinfectant before and after fishing.
