The Llanddewi beat comprises 1½ miles of double bank upper river Ithon fishing. It offers anglers the chance of wild brown trout and some excellent grayling fishing. With a mostly gravel and shale riverbed, the wading is relatively easy. There are some very deep pools however, so care is needed. The banks are quite open with relatively easy backcasting.
The fishery is fly only from March 3rd to October 31st with trotting for grayling permitted outside this period.
This beat is in an area where salmon and trout spawn in the autumn and winter. We ask all anglers to ensure they do not disturb any spawning fish or step close to any redds. When fishing from November to March it is advisable not to wade over knee depth.
There is an approx. 150m walk from the bottom parking area to the river.
