This 150 acre reservoir is the largest of the Taff reservoirs. It is a favourite amongst local anglers and is a fly, spinner and worm fishing venue. Rainbows are regularly stocked from Dwr Cymru's rearing unit, the trout are larger than those caught at Beacons and Cantref, the record rainbow being over 13lbs and the best brown of 10lb 4oz.

Llwyn On is a scenic water, set in mixed woodland, and has good access and toilet facilities.

Opening hours : 8am to 7pm – 9pm (½ hour after sunset or 9pm, whichever is earlier).

Rules and Regulations
  • This beat is not covered under the Wash-Off policy
  • Anglers must stop fishing when catch limit is reached or purchase another ticket at the fishery.
  • One rod per angler for trout fishing
  • No Fishing permitted until 8am
  • National bye-laws must be observed and it is up to anglers to familiarise themselves with these.
