Just under a mile of double bank River Arrow fishing is available from 1st October to 31st January for its autumn and winter grayling fishing and is ideal for those who enjoy targeting these fish in small to medium sized rivers.

Located just upstream of Pembridge, this part of the Arrow gently flows over gravel and the beat is easy to wade (chest waders are strongly recommended). It is suitable for upstream fishing with dries or nymphs and contains plenty of good sized grayling. The Leen can also be fished with maggots in November, December and January - this is a fantastic trotting beat and well worth a try if you don't enjoy wading during the colder months. Parking is less than 100m from the river.

Block Booking is available on this beat. You can book all the tickets available. You can only fish up to the maximum daily number of people allowed for that type of fishing.

There was an outbreak of crayfish plague in the lower Irfon in July 2024. Visiting anglers MUST ensure against cross contamination by approved check/dry/disinfection procedures, and importantly waders, nets and tackle should be sprayed with Virkon disinfectant before and after fishing.
