Always done well here, can't understand why members of WUF don't fish it more ? .conditions perfect today but I must say the river seemed a lot colder than the last few days on the wye and irfon. Most of the grayling of good size the best two being 15" all the oos trout were small. Euro nymphed all day. Will have to go home soon, sadly wales is about to be locked down!

very cold start to the day ( -3 ) but it was great to see the rivers back down to good fishable levels, ive had a pretty bad run of luck on getting the conditions right on my trips to wales this autumn ( i bet im not the only one ! ) i have fished this beat a couple of times before and the fishing has always been good , today fishing a euro leader and nymphs i caught grayling to 15" and oos trout to 10"

river up a bit but running quite clear. not too many spots where i could get in, but it didnt really matter because the few i did held several fish. all fish caught euro nymphing . the track up too the parking spot on the middle section is not recommended if you have a normal car and its wet, but somehow i made it up there ! its a lovely spot and you get to see the steam train go by several times a day, which is quite impressive.
grayling mostly 12-13" and oos trout to 10"

A cold day with the river low and running very clear, which made for more challenging fishing. 1 grayling caught on a heavy caddis pattern on the bottom.

Outstanding day again. 3 lovely ladies, an oos brownie and a minnow (chub?) landed. Czech nymphing again with old vladi's condom worm as an anchor but all takes on the orange beadhead latex grub in the previous post.

Lots of canoes and kayaks thought I was back in Canada! Saw several very large salmon leaping as well. What a treat is this river - will be back as soon as can. Thank you

Finally got my first grayling in the net (And three more followed)! Czech nymphing with condom flies and pink shrimp.

Beautiful location and an incredible river with straightforward access (although typically tight between the hedges for this canadian). Going back tomorrow! Thanks

hav`nt fished the middle beat of the preserve before, very nice stretch of water. river up a little and pushing through very fast . strong winds causing difficulty in presentation ( euro nymphing ) and lots of leaves in the water not helping either. did manage to find a few fish with grayling to 13" and several oos trout. a word of warning... if its very wet under foot do not attempt the track to the parking spot unless you have a 4x4 !
