The Rectory : 2 salmon yesterday for Peter Dowlen, a cock and hen fish, both slightly coloured and both about 12 lbs. Caught on a small Mepps in the Mill Stream.

Dan Y Parc (Usk) : Fresh'ish 36" cock fish on homemade fly for Mike Hobbs. First salmon since October 2017.

Upper Bigsweir: 9lb for Nathan Jubb, lots of salmon showing but algae is getting pretty thick now. A rise in water will reduce the bloom (less time for it to divide as it comes downstream). This might just happen with all this rain around.

Holme Lacy 3 & Lechmeres Ley : Late report from May, 12lb fish on 29th and a 10lb fish on 31st for Colin Richardson.   Both were on a spinner.

Lower Carrots & Luggsmouth : 6lb grilse '"in immaculate condition" today for Glynn Cawte. Lots of salmon showing.

Upper Bigsweir: 5 yesterday 16lb, 15 lb, 12lb, 11lb and 10lb from little run and cockpit. Others lost, Grilse and salmon running through.

Wyesham : 18lbs on fly this morning on a Red Frances conehead and another lost.

Upper Bigsweir:  A couple of big fish. A fresh run 30lb hen today and 20lb cock last friday, both caught on spinner.  Hen fish had red belly syndrome. We have has a report of a case on the Usk and it appears prevalent in Ireland this year. Please let us know if you catch a fish similarly affected.

Coedithel : Late report from Michael Berry. 17th June 2021, river very coloured. Caught with yellow flying C approx 15lbs hen fish.
