We cannot stress enough the importance of making quick and accurate returns of salmon catches, even if nothing has been caught. Recording catch data is one (perhaps the best, certainly the most cost effective) way of determining the success of our river restoration works. Although affected by short term variations in weather and water conditions, the longer term data set will build an accurate picture of our salmon runs. Catch returns can be made quickly via our online form for both Passport and non-Passport waters. Most of our reporting is from the Wye. Where a salmon has come from another river we will state accordingly.

5:08 pm Ross AC (Weirend fishery): A 21 lb cock fish in beautiful condition to Lukasz Jastrzab. His personal best salmon, the fish came to a black flying C and measured 98cm.

5:42 pm Goodrich Court: 18lb salmon from The Stones on a single hook FC to Ian Binnian today. Other fish seen.

5:01 pm Ross AC: 10lb hen fish from Weirend fishery again, this time on a tungsten snaelda fly.

10:27 am Ross A C: 14 lb fresh salmon from Weirend fishery, fish came to a black flying C.

9:32 am Nyth and Tyr Celyn: From the 21st April, 11 and 18 lbs fish to Thomas Hough, from the Little Kitty and Cafn Stream. Then Will Tricks had a 22 lb fish yesterday from Cafn Tail on a gold cascade.
