Lovely stretch of river, not too challenging. Perfect for us. Very clear water. Variable weather / showers.
Using a mixture of small nymphs and dry flys; got a couple of nibbles but nothing landed.

Wet and windy conditions. Water cold. Little insect activity on the surface but a good population of heptagenid's, hydropysches and baetis nymphs in the river. One 8 inch WBT caught by 6pm. 8 more caught on Yellow May emerger pattern following a small hatch of Yellow May's around 7pm. Largest 10 inch ranging down to 6 inches.

Fished from 8 till 1 . Conditions varied from cold wet and blustery, to calm warm and sunny. Steady hatch of yellow may Duns. No fish rising. Lost one on down stream nymph at the fast water in the middle of the beat.

River low and clear. Beautiful day but hard due to river and bright blue skies. 2 trout caught on heavy Czech nymph in fast runs. Gorgeous beat.

1 x 18 inch WBT caught on a Caddis larva at 11am, 1 x 19 inch WBT caught on a Yellow May emerger at 9pm. In between various sizes between 8 and 12 inches including a Shad around 2lbs and Grayling between 1lb and 2lb. Warm sunny day with reasonable hatch of mays from around 5pm. Strong population of stone clinging Heps and Baetis nymphs, worms and Hydrosphyches. Some large cased Caddis too.

Arrived around 6 ish, lot's of Mayfly coming of the water, also a profusion of yellow may duns and lots of the little brown jobs with the long twin tails (what are they?). No evening rise as such but tempted a trout and 2 grayling with an Adams, all around 8 - 10 inches.

Another good day of hatches producing active fly life which produced a number of juvenile trout and grayling. Mostly taken on emerger patterns.

Two anglers fished, our third member was ill. Fast flow and rather a breezy day. Nice day's fishing. Six small browns were caught and returned up to 20cm.
