Warm day with rises throughout. 2 Chub in quick succession on a ptn followed by several takes on a large dark olive and finally landed a trout. Day rounded off with a trout on a ptn. Great days fishing on a lovely beat

Mod upstream breeze but good cloud cover and cooler. Very pleasant afternoon. Grayling 8-12inches and trout mostly small but one good fish at 14. The chub was a surprise! All on GB GRHE or PTN

Overhead conditions perfect, river fishable height. But really struggled to locate the residents. Tried every technique and fly, but just couldn't work it out. The odd fish showing and a trickle of flies hatching most of the day. Water felt warm to the touch, but maybe that's just clutching at straws. Did manage 2 wbt 6"-8" and a 10" grayling. Wonderful to be out for the first time this year and that more than made up for the lack of catching.
