The first and end sections of the beat were largely inaccessible and there were only a few swims in the middle that were accessible. The river was very low and although there was plenty of activity from the Chub the barbel just didn't seem to want to play. Left around lunchtime as lost 3 rigs for 3 casts and fancied spending some time with my sons!

River low, method - freelined rolled luncheon meat, we also caught two eels. Biggest chub around 4lbs.

Arrived early in the morning hoping for barbel but the chub fed throughout the day.

Had alot of smaller chub up to 1lb with half a dozen or so up to 3lb

RIVER VERY LOW AND CLEAR,ONE FISH PER SWIM SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE SPRED OUT ALL OVER THE BEAT.FISH TO 6.1 LB ALL CAUGHT ON LUNCHEON MEAT.VERY POSITIVE BITES.NO FEEDER JUST STRAIGHT LEAD.
