No salmon caught. Plenty of coloured fish showing though in Vanstone, Corner Tree and Dog hole pools.
Access to the pools was very good. So thanks due to Mick the ghillie for efforts in keeping paths and steps jungle free.

Unfortunately another blank day for us, although Jeannie and I both did see a salmon come up to investigate our flies but neither fish was tempted enough to take them.

Many thanks must go to Mick Sutton who put me onto a fish almost straight away. 3lb Grilse from Vanstone stream on a home tied Wotsit fly. A few fish seen but no other takers- heavy canoe traffic all afternoon. Left about 3pm.
I can throughly recommend Mick to anyone who is new to Goodrich - he is a wealth of information about the beat and the Wye. I really enjoyed his company on the bank.
