Very bright warm conditions resulted in few flies hatching and subsequently few fish rising. Best tactics were wet fly in the faster water.

Full on sun all day, river a bit high, no fish. But a very enjoyable day. Could not get very far into the river because of the height but tried dries all down the bottom half of the beat and nymphs at top and bottom. Some fly life but only saw one fish. Very hot for time of year but still great to be on the river

River high. Weather damp and cold. No fly to speak of. Fished mainly nymphs - 1 fish 3/4lb returned.

Upstream nymph mainly as only sporadic fly hatch. Some small stuff rising late in the day on the lower part of the beat.

Coloured water but looked a good height. No salmon seen although looked promising below the island.lots of hungry trout up to 1.5lbs.enjoyable day.

River high and coloured. DIdn't see any fish moving. Trout, about 1/2lb caught on large nymph using a fast sinking tip.

No salmon seen or caught. A pleasant, if unproductive, day.

river at a perfect height, fairly coloured but not horrific. have been determined to get a fish from this beat, but looks like another season may escape me.. always next time.
