Good day. The grayling were very localised and needed to be found. Most on nymphs in the morning and early afternoon. In the mid-afternoon, there was a rise of fish in the gravel glide at the bottom of the beat, and several nicegrayling were caught on a dry cdc. Good avergage size of about 1lb, with the biggest about 2lbs. River was a good condition. The owner came down to chat with us, which was appreciated.

Excellent mornings fishing with the biggest grayling bang on 2lb. Grayling we’re definitely in feeding mood and lost count after the second pool ! 20 is a very conservative estimate. Just a couple of trout with all fish coming to nymphs fished Euro style.
