A great beat. River low but fishing still good. Mainly smaller fish but one of 1.5lbs.
Wading trick as rocks so slippery, gravel fine. Beautifully tranquil and will come again...

Decent fish all taken on weighted GRHE fished under an indicator due to the windy conditions. River very low, much fly life, mainly grannom but also LDO and a few March Browns but very few rises. Dry fly and a/d wet produced no interest. Small fish absent.
The Wye River bed here is treacherously slippy. Both struggling with studded or felt soles. Despite a wading stick I went in twice! Algae blooming in the shallows following sunny weather. Enjoyed.

Started and ended with biblical wind and rain….not best for fly fishing! However we eked out three grayling in the two hours in the intervening period, then an early lunch and bovril.
